Professional Background:
Lloyd “Bagga” has spent over 30-years in the construction industry and is currently a Supervisor with certification from the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (“CSCS”) in the U.K. in a variety of construction related skills. Lloyd’s vast experience and expertise has seen him supervise key infrastructure projects in Buckingham Palace as well as other high profile government institutions in the U.K. which requires a high security clearance.
Lloyd’s commitment to Rusea’s High School and the community of Hanover is evident in the altruistic and charitable endeavors that he has undertaken in an individual capacity for the last 30 years. He has consistently provided donations of varying items to his alma mater and other institutions in the parish including the Rusea’s High School Library and the Lucea infirmary. He also has leveraged his expertise in events management by executing initiatives to support his local community including football community leagues in honor of deceased footballers, Primary and All Age school leagues for football and netball, and firework events to bring the community together.
Lloyd holds certifications in small business management and in construction skills.
Personal Statement:
After spending the last 30 years giving back to my alma mater and my community in an individual capacity, I am excited, encouraged and motivated to be involved with the Ruseas BrotherSister Foundation in a shared vision that will benefit Rusea’s High School and the community. I am encouraged by the last words of my dying mother who passed in July 2004, “Do not be discouraged by others, continue doing what you can to help others and make your community better.” I continue to be inspired by her words and it is reflected in my nickname BAGGA which means “Better Attitude Guarantees Greater Achievements.”
